Activities Capacity Building of the Informal Waste sector
Plastic pollution is a consequence of unsustainable production, consumption, and poor waste management at the end of the plastic life cycle. At UNEA 5.2, it was agreed to end plastic pollution and initiate a negotiation process for a new globally binding plastic instrument. This project provides outcomes related to waste management efforts in the Global South by strengthening the informal waste sector and linking climate and plastics topics.
