Himalayan Climate Change Adaptation Programme
Producing knowledge on how climate change affects natural resources, ecosystem services, and the communities that depend on them.
Incorporating climate change adaptation into national development policies and plans in selected mountain regions was the focus of a large UN Environment-led project in the Western Balkans, South Caucasus, Central Asia, East Africa, and the Tropical Andes, where we worked with partner organisations and national governments to promote adaptation action. Five policy assessments have been finalized. Following the interest that was created by these Outlooks, a sixth Climate Change Adaptation Outlook was produced for the Hindu Kush Himalaya.
