Houssine Nibani from the Association de Gestion Intégrée des Ressources (AGIR) summarizes his blue solution which addresses the sustainable management of marine resources in Morocco. More than 3000 local fishermen who were adversely affected by illegal fishing practices were involved in the establishment of marine protected areas. The foundation of fishermen cooperatives and participatory trainings made them become guards of the marine biodiversity.
