PANORAMA – Solutions for a Healthy Planet: Promoting what works
PANORAMA partners IUCN, GIZ, GRID-Arendal, UN Environment, Rare and IFOAM convened an event at the Rio Conventions Pavilion during the Convention on Biological Diversity’s 14th Conference of the Parties (CBD COP14). During the event, UNDP was welcomed as a new partner, joining IUCN as co-coordinator of the PANORAMA theme on “Protected areas”. An analysis of the portfolio of marine and coastal solutions was introduced, as well as multiple examples of specific solution case studies across PANORAMA’s various themes. Finally, a new thematic chapter on “Business engagement” was launched, profiling success stories of civil society organizations engaging with the private sector in conservation projects.
