Francisco Castaneda Moya of the Center for Conservation Studies, University of San Carlos, Guatemala on his blue solution “Connecting a coastal reserve with its surroundings”. The success of this solution is based on a process that is addressing the problem of floods inside Monterrico’s Multiple Use Natural Reserve for the benefit of the reserve’s inhabitants through engaging and including new stakeholders, broadening the scope of management and setting a new scale for actions.
