Soil to Sea
Highlighting the urgency for innovative solutions that harmonise agricultural livelihoods with sustainable land management.
Since the age of 17 I have had a huge passion for conservation work and African biodiversity trough my travels. My interests expanded and developed when working and living with the San-people of the Kalahari in Namibia, which forever changed my perception of life and our planet in every aspect. As my journey led me back to Norway, I enrolled in a Bsc degree in Biology that enlightened me on the many issues the environment face today, but also its many wonders. Further I broadened my knowledge trough my Msc in Coastal Zone Ecology, focusing on anthropological pressure in and around coastal areas, including pollution, climate change and eutrophication. The program also gave me knowledge on sustainable production and value creation in marine environments.
I usually say that my occupational status is as a biologist, but in many aspects, it is also who I am. At GRID-Arendal I work under the Marine Waste and Litter program as an associate expert, where I provide support on relevant research and analysis, support communication activities, as well as the opportunity to engage in the global environmental agenda together with a wonderful team.
During my free time I like to spend time outdoors with my dog, and love being around friends and family. I have also been doing CrossFit for a few years, and recently fell in love with salsa!
