The Caucasus Environment Outlook (CEO) is a comprehensive assessment of the Caucasus ecoregion which includes whole or parts of six countries – Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iran, Türkiye and Russia. Located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, this region has rich cultural history and biodiversity, increasingly threatened by environmental change and human activities.

The publication is built around the Driver-Pressure-State-Impact-Response (DPSIR)Framework recognized in environmental assessments. The CEO covers the main drivers of environmental change in the region for each of the thematic chapters of land cover, biodiversity, freshwater, air, environmental hazards and other cross-cutting issues.
