Inspiring sustainable environmental change through storytelling, community insight, and passion.

As a Senior Expert at GRID-Arendal, I focus on protecting ecosystems, managing pollution, and encouraging positive behavioural shifts. Drawing on two decades of blending science, compelling narratives, and collaborative engagement, I uncover root causes of environmental issues and translate insights into practical, enduring solutions.

What I Bring

I bridge technical expertise in pollution management with a commitment to inclusive solutions that honour local knowledge and empower communities. My perspective has been shaped by over two years of Peace Corps volunteer service in El Salvador, where I learned the importance of collaboration and listening to those most affected. I also hold a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in film, as well as a master's degree in global health. I’ve led film-based initiatives focused on reducing pollution and protecting nature, especially in vulnerable and remote regions. A recent highlight of my work is the documentary Reclaim, which sheds light on the informal recycling sector and its vital role in the circular economy. My portfolio also includes leadership in projects such as the Namibian Islands Marine Protected Area (NIMPA+) and the Norwegian Blue Forest Network (NBFN), both dedicated to protecting and restoring crucial marine ecosystems. As a thematic lead on behavioural change strategies, I integrate transformative methods designed to inspire sustainable practices in alignment with the UN 2.0 framework. When I’m not at work, you’ll find me on a car-free island off the southern coast of Norway, where I enjoy playing the ukulele & guitar, snowboarding, hiking, and spending time with my two daughters.

My Focus Areas
