Towards Climate-Resilient Agriculture in Nepal
Promoting socially inclusive, climate-resilient agriculture to address growing risks to global food security due to climate change.
The world is facing a compounded crisis of food insecurity, with Nepal being deeply affected by it. Erratic weather patterns, rising temperatures, and shifting monsoons are jeopardizing agricultural productivity and livelihoods in Nepal, reflecting the broader challenges faced by agrifood systems globally.
This book, co-produced by ICIMOD and GRID-Arendal, presents a holistic model of climate-resilient agriculture, featuring both widely adopted proven practices and site-specific solutions tested on local farms. We hope it will inspire decision-makers at all levels to adopt this model and scale these practices to build more climate-resilient agricultural systems in Nepal and beyond.
