Empowering the Hands That Keep Kisumu Clean: Women Waste Pickers

This video is comming soon

GRID-Arendal published a toolkit titled Awareness and Capacity-building for Women of the Informal Recycling Sector: Toolkit for Facilitators. The toolkit has been implemented in the Kisumu community in Kenya with support from a GIZ grant. The project included a virtual training for approximately five local facilitators, followed by face-to-face training for about 25 women participants. The goal of the video is to raise international awareness of the Toolkit building on successes of the training activities in Kisumu while also spreading the inspiration from the training and working towards uniting the informal waste sector at the national level.
