Primary learners painted a mural based on the seven principles of ocean literacy. It turns classroom ideas into colour, showing how the ocean shapes Earth, climate, and our lives.
This photo is part of the Waves of Change initiative, a community-based art and ocean literacy project along Namibia’s coast. The project uses creativity and storytelling to inspire young people, connect communities to the sea, and share their voices with decision-makers. Supported by local partners and the NIMPA+ project, Waves of Change empowers champions of ocean conservation through murals, workshops, and education activities.
