Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 Search Data Reveal Geomorphology and Seafloor Processes in the Remote Southeast Indian Ocean
Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 (MH370) was a scheduled international
passenger flight that disappeared on 8 March 2014 while flying from
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Beijing, China. In the ensuing multi-national
effort to search for aircraft wreckage,
a large area of ocean floor was mapped using ship-mounted multibeam
echosounders (MBES), providing unprecedented detail in an otherwise
remote area of the ocean floor.
