About Dylan Marrs
Dylan Marrs
Intern, Africa Programme and Environmental Crime Programme
Phone: +47 469 39 860

Internship period: February to July 2017

I am a post-graduate International Environmental Studies student from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences. I specialize in thematic topics such as food security, natural resource governance and sustainable agricultural development. I am particularly interested in the downstream effects of multi-donor infrastructure projects and their potential to meet national and international development goals. I also hold a double-bachelor degree in construction and environmental management from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town, South Africa.

My work at GRID-Arendal is grouped in two programmes which i'm fiercely passionate about: environmental crime and the  Africa programme. Specific projects which i have engaged on thus far include: Illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing, transboundary waters, sanitation and wastewater.

I firmly believe that access to the wonders of nature is something that should never be taken for granted. As such, I spend my free time drawing inspiration through activities such as rock climbing, skiing, hiking and camping. I love to travel, grow my own food and enrich my life by meeting new people.
