The Baltic Sea island of Vilm lies in the bay south of the much larger island of Rügen, it is one of Germany's most remote and tranquil spots. Here you find trees in all natural stages, a forest today untouched and protected from any harvesting. An ideal place for the visitors of the International Academy for Nature Protection, which is placed on the island, to study wild nature and its processes.
