ECOTIP
The ECOTIP project investigates ecosystem tipping points and their cascading effects in the Arctic, from melting ice to changing fisheries.
The ECOTIP project, led by the Technical University of Denmark, focused on predicting Arctic marine biodiversity changes due to climate change. By collaborating with scientists and Greenlandic fishing communities, ECOTIP developed adaptation strategies for sustainable fisheries and carbon sequestration. The project’s innovative research aids in understanding ecosystem tipping points and resilience. Visit ecotip-arctic.eu to learn more. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 869383.
There were several videos produced by GRID-Arendal for the ECOTIP project, all of which were produced, filmed, and edited in-house. This video uses footage of the work taking place during a research cruise, and interviews and lab work filmed during project meetings over several years, which results in an in-depth and visually rich film.
