This collection of images captures the seagrass ecosystems and coastal landscapes of West Africa as part of the ResilienSEA – Resilient Seagrasses Project. The ResilienSEA initiative focuses on enhancing the capacity of local communities and stakeholders in the management of seagrass meadows, a critical yet often overlooked marine habitat. Seagrasses provide essential ecosystem services, including carbon sequestration, coastal protection, and marine biodiversity support.
These photos document field observations, coastal biodiversity, and the efforts to protect and understand seagrass habitats in the region.
