Channels in the sand, Seychelles
The idyllic Seychelles employ about 30% of the workforce in the tourism industry, which also generates approximately 70% of the country's hard currency. Development on the islands is concentrated on narrow coastal zones which, as erosion becomes a bigger problem on these low-lying islands together with rising sea levels, puts infrastructure and these developments at risk.
