During 1993 GRID-Arendal made a special effort to increase work related to the Arctic region, and to support the global UNEP/GRID network which continues to grow and expand and consists now of 10 cooperating centers with over 100 staff members.


GRID-Arendal's database has expanded during 1993, and now allows on-line connection via modem or Internet. Our information service receives increasing numbers of requests and disseminates environmental information to a growing number of user groups and individuals.
