GRID-Arendal Annual Report 2025

29 May 2026

A year of clarity, consolidation, and renewed purpose

Overview

The GRID-Arendal Annual Report 2025 reflects a defining year for the organisation, marking the first year of implementation of the GRID-Arendal Strategy 2025–2030. The report highlights how GRID-Arendal strengthened its role as a transformative partner at the science-policy interface, supporting evidence-based environmental governance while responding to the triple planetary crisis of climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution.

In a year shaped by both challenge and opportunity, GRID-Arendal prioritised focus, quality, and transformative potential over growth through volume. The report showcases achievements across environmental governance, communications, partnerships, and project delivery, while reaffirming the organisation’s commitment to co-creation, resilience, and systems change.

The bite-sized report presents key highlights from 2025, including the launch of a new Memorandum of Understanding with UNEP for 2025–2029 and a new Grant Agreement with Norad supporting delivery of UNEP’s Medium-Term Strategy.
