The goal of the project is to strengthen knowledge management capacity and promote scaled-up learning of disseminated experiences, tools and methodologies for transboundary waters management—across and beyond the GEF IW portfolio, together with a global network of partners—in order to improve the effectiveness of GEF IW and partner projects to deliver tangible results and scaled-up investments.

GRID-Arendal is the Implementing Partner on behalf of UNEP in the new phase of the GEF IW:LEARN project. UNEP and UNDP are the two Executing Agencies.

GRID-Arendal leads Component 1 of the project which provides access to an integrated suite of dynamic tools and reliable knowledge networks, project and partner platforms and portals, governments and the broader environment community, to support the wide analysis, dissemination and integration of IW portfolio results and experiences into decision making processes at the national, regional and global levels.
